The
General Program Seminar consists in a review of the most
“important problems” of the tango dance, and its
study through their specific principles. For a better
comprehension of the seminar contents, we can divide
these “important problems” in two groups:
Elements
permanently in use
§
Leading
and following
Sensitivity
on the other one
§
The
embrace
Distances,
posture, sides, etc
§
The
use of the space and the positions
The
action, the reception, the directions
§
The
musical adjustment
Rhythm,
phrasing, “tras-pie”, musicality
§
The
displacement in a straight line
“walks”,
code of walking, systems
§
The
turns
Axis,
senses of turning, structure
These
elements can be considered the necessary base for a
danced tango reasonably under control. In this seminar,
will be analyzed how are these elements operating not
only during the usual “walking” but during the
realization of specific figures as well.
Specific
choreographic ideas most frequently used
§
the
boleos
§
the
sacadas
§
the
ganchos
§
the
capturas, barridas and pasadas
§
the
volcadas
§
the
colgadas
These
“ideas” and the great variety of figures that come
from them, will be studied in this seminar, digging
deeply into the specific technical principles that each
idea presents. In other words, if we take for example
the idea ”sacada”, will be studied the general
technique of the “sacadas” in order to achieve
correctly a sacada in any of its variations. At the same
time, will be observed in each of these variations, how
are operating the elements of permanent use above
mentioned.
One
of the characteristics of this Seminar is its careful
and detailed analysis of the technique, through which
two things are looked for: the quality in the execution
and the value of the movement. We firmly believe that,
within each one ‘s capacity, as better as you achieve
to dance, the more you enjoy it.
Basically
the General Program Seminars have the same program, that
means that all themes and conceptual considerations are
going to be repeated. Regarding to the steps and
sequences material, is going to be renovated in order to
improve the results, and to increase possibilities. We
propose these
dates
for this General Program Seminar, so that, who cannot
attend the first one could do it to one of the others,
and at the same time, given this renovation of
sequences, could also repeat it.
One Seminar is not continuity of the
previous one, therefore, it is not necessary to have
attended one to be able to attend the next.
