| Alfredo Horacio Asorey
We are very sorry to inform the decease of our beloved friend Horacio,
on the 6th of June, 2012. Having been one
of the best Tango Disc Jockey of the actuality, and having
had a deep knowledge of tango dancing history, he could
always get with precision the musical ambiance that the milonga requires.
His selections, based on an extensive experience adjusted perfectly to the
highest expectations of best dancers.
 It
was also remarkable his ability to choose the most suitable music for
every moment throughout the night milonga. This great sensitivity was always
the perfect addition
to a very detailed
knowledge of the typical orchestra history, their musicians, interpreters
and composers, and the different
melodic qualities of tango pieces, orchestras and tango musical periods.
All this allowed him to achieve milonga nights of a spectacular
success.
Moreover, as a
consequence of his permanent presence in the milongas, practices and dance
classes, he had acquired a great knowledge also as tango dancer, having participated in amateur tango-dance groups,
like the Senior Ballet, with some performances on TV shows and in some
famous tango places of Buenos Aires like Cuartito Azul. The fact of knowing the
dance so detailed, through his own experience, had even improved his
ability as DJ.
He was the DJ at
practices, dancing meetings, and all tango events organized by Gustavo Naveira
in Cochabamba 444 since 1990 and in La Papelera since 2003 until now.
He was invited by European tango organizers to DJ at some of
their best milongas in Europe. which he performed very successfully for the joy of
many good Italian dancers.
We
want, from here, with tears in our eyes, to honor the memory our dear Horacio,
who will be for ever in our hearts. |
