Ping-pong
Giselle Anne Around the world in 80 tangos
What do you miss from childhood?
The absence of responsibility.
Is dancing therapeutic?
Not for us, but for someone who takes it as a hobby, maybe.
What is the most difficult part of the female role?
Finding the right point between dancing and following.
What should be never said to a student?
You dance badly.
But at times it is true… (Laughter)
Yes, but is too final an expression.
Do you go often to milongas?
No, because I don’t have time and because of my children’s
schedules.
How does one fight stage fright?
I do not know if it is possible. But it is a good sign that
it exists because it means that what you are doing matters
to you.
Which tango show did you enjoy the most as part of the
audience?
One by the Mariano Mores Company in 1988.
What is missing in tango?
Organization, all over the world.
In what neighborhood did you grow up?
None, because my parents traveled a lot for work reasons.
That must have been useful later.
Of course, because I adapt to other places quickly.
So much so that you lived abroad…
Yes, I lived in Seville for 5 years working as a dancer.
What do you miss the most when you are away?
The food.
Why are you a dancer?
Because it is what I wanted to be since I was 3 years old.
How was that interest declared?
Dancing anything anywhere…•
